About Us

The Pitchpipers started in Havant, Hampshire in 1976 with a few singers in the front room of our founder member, Marilyn Penketh. Since that time the chorus has gone from strength to strength within the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers (LABBS).

Our chorus has a great bunch of active members - and there's always room for more.

We have a wide repertoire of songs ranging from traditional barbershop tunes such as "Give Me a Barbershop Song" to contemporary numbers including "It's Raining Men" and "Rolling In The Deep" plus lots in between... so there’s something for everyone!

You can have a peek at what we do in this video.  We filmed our "Diva Day" back in February 2015 when we arranged for singers from all over the South to join together.  Karen Penketh was our delightful MD for the day (she co-wrote the music!) and we had superb coaching in performance skills from Theresa Weatherbee ( she's an international coach and judge).

We hope you enjoy 'Barbershop Joe' as much as we did!
